Project: Kitchen Re-fit – How it finished

Well this is the final part of my Kitchen Refit – if you need to catch up you can find:

Mercifully, this is going to be a short, vanity post to draw a line under the whole saga – but I am so, so pleased with the final result.

Yes, even in October of 2025 there are still some snagging things to still be done – mainly stuff that I put on the “fuck, that’s boring pile” (such as painting and some filling) – but it turned out far better than I ever could have expected.

I am a cook – it’s my passion outside DIY so not having a working kitchen for what was the better part of four years – and whilst this work was being done, no kitchen at all for about 4 – 5 months has been difficult!

My one bedroom flat had a very small kitchen – but it was functional, I could make use of the space that I had very well as the landlords had really thought about “Triangle Theory” which was key to my design for the kitchen in the Shire.

Anyhow, before I turn this post into 2,000 word ramble – here are the final photos.

It went from this ….
To this in four months – I even bought some plants!

View from the entrance to the kitchen – you can see the Splash Back in place.

I hope that you enjoyed this journey as much as I have writing about it .
